Low marks and runout forecasts
What does "Runs out around" mean?
With Warn when running low on, the Low mark appears at or under Warn at; the forecast walks your attached routines’ future doses against the balance and names the first date it reaches zero — or abstains with "Not enough data to forecast".

The Low mark
With Warn when running low on, a profile shows Low as soon as its balance is at or under Warn at; Today then shows the notice Inventory low — "Running low on <names>."
How the forecast works
Keel takes the profile’s current balance and walks the future scheduled doses of every active routine attached to it — the same schedule engine as the calendar, up to one year ahead — subtracting each dose’s converted amount in date order. Keel keeps two dates: the first dose that leaves the balance at or under Warn at (only with Warn when running low on) and the first that takes it to zero or below. The line shows the runout date when there is one — "Runs out around <date>" — and otherwise the low date — "Runs low around <date>". Today adds Supply runs out soon ("<name> runs out around <date> at your current schedule.") only with Pro inventory access, for the soonest runout within the next 14 days, for a profile not already marked Low, and until you dismiss it. Past logs are never reinterpreted, and nothing is written.
A 6 mL profile, 0.5 mL twice a week
Fictional exampleThe names and values below are made up to show how the parts relate; they are not a suggestion.
A profile at 6 mL, warn at 1.5 mL, attached to a routine drawing 0.5 mL twice a week: after nine doses (4.5 mL) the balance is 1.5 mL — "Runs low around" that dose’s date; after twelve doses it is 0 — and because a runout date exists, the line shows "Runs out around" the twelfth dose’s date (about six weeks out), not the earlier low date. (This example is independent of the figures’ profiles.)
If it looks different
- "Runs out around <date>" or "Runs low around <date>"?
- A projected date inside the year.
- "No runout in the next year"?
- The balance outlasts the horizon.
- "Not enough data to forecast"?
- Keel abstains.

Prerequisites
- Keel abstains whenever the simulation would have to guess — for example: no readable balance (no tracked amount or unit, or counts in conflict); no attached active routine (unless the balance is already low or out); an attached routine with a schedule the forecast does not support; a dose that is disabled, missing, zero, negative or not a number; or a dose unit that does not convert to the profile’s (an IU dose against a mL profile with no IU/mL concentration, as in the second figure).
A Low mark or a runout date is arithmetic over what you entered and logged — never a prompt to buy or take anything.
