Log at an earlier time

I took it earlier — how do I record the real time?

Tap the row › Log at a time…, set Taken at to the real time and tap Log; on time or late is judged from that time.

Where to start

Today › tap the dose’s row › Log at a time… (also on a calendar day’s row).

You’ll need
  • A pending dose — a settled one offers Edit log instead.

Two times

The row’s time column shows the effective time — Move time, else snooze time, else plan; the Taken at you record lives in the log. On time or late is judged from Taken at against the planned or Move time, never a snooze: under an hour after it — or earlier — is Done, an hour or more is Late; an any-time dose is Done when taken on its day or earlier, Late on a later day.

Steps

  1. Tap the row to open it, then Log at a time…. The sheet is titled Log <routine>.
  2. Set Taken at. It cannot be later than now. It starts at the dose’s listed (effective) time, or now if that is earlier. Footer: "On-time vs late is judged from this time, so backfilled doses stay honest."

  3. Under Dose the field shows the routine’s dose — change it if you took a different amount; add Injection site (injectables only) and Notes if wanted.
  4. Tap Log.

A 5:00 PM dose, logged at 8:00 PM

Fictional exampleThe names and values below are made up to show how the parts relate; they are not a suggestion.

A 5:00 PM dose still pending at 8:00 PM reads LATE. Log at a time… opens with Taken at 5:00 PM; set 5:50 PM and tap Log — the row settles under Done · 1 with no word (50 minutes is under an hour). Had you set 6:20 PM it would read LATE.

What changes

The dose is recorded with the picked time, amount, site and notes; the row moves under Done · n showing its site and notes (or "Logged — no site or notes recorded."); the header counts it; an attached supply profile draws down only if Pro access, a readable amount + unit, a convertible unit and a settled balance all hold.

If it looks different

No Injection site section?
The routine is not injectable.
Under Dose, "Can’t be read as an amount + unit — this field won’t save. Try a form like 0.3 mL or 250 mcg."?
The text is not amount + unit; Log still succeeds but the amount is dropped, and the row does not show amounts afterwards.
"Couldn’t save"?
The sheet stays open with your draft; nothing was recorded.

Correct a mistake

Open the row under Done · n › Edit log to change Taken at; Undo returns it to pending.

  • Every change keeps the earlier version.

Taken at records when you say you took a dose; Keel never suggests a time, an amount or a site.
